The Parkers Crossroads Battlefield is the site of the Civil War battle fought Dec. 31, 1862. Confederate forces under the command of Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest met Federal troops under the command of Col. Cyrus L. Dunham and Col. John W. Fuller. The battlefield park consists of a Self-Guided Driving Tour, three miles of paved walking trails, and an audio CD to guide you on your tour. Visitor Center hours are 9:00am-4:30pm 7 days a week. Parkers Crossroads is located mid-way between Memphis and Nashville on I-40 at Exit 108.
